Thanks for checking out my Power of 11 page! I'm so proud to be a part of South Bronx United and of the dedicated students, volunteers, and staff that I get to work with every day. It is bittersweet to be wrapping up my tenth year at SBU and preparing to transition out of the organization as my family and I relocate to the Philadelphia area.

This year has been an especially exciting one for me at SBU, as I have recently shifted into a new role as Deputy Director of the organization. I look forward to the opportunity to impact our SBU community at the broadest level, getting to support more programs, staff, and students than ever before!

SBU has had an awesome year with some incredible highlights, here are just a few of my favorites:

- Five high school female student-athletes travelled to Brazil last summer through a partnership with the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy and the State Department's Youth Allstars Abroad program.
- Our Summer Soccer Scholars program had the highest enrollment to date and our "SBUniversity" model had students choose an elective and major to mimic the college experience. Students also enjoyed some fun new field trips including a museum scavenger hunt at the MET and a high ropes course at Jones Beach, Long Island!
- Plans have been developed for our new Workforce Development Program that will give current SBU students and alumni the chance to gain essential professional skills and experience by working in SBU's very own coffee shop, which is scheduled to open this summer!
- The opening of the SBU Clubhouse! For the first time, we truly have a home, a crucial safe space for youth during out-of-school time. With a mini soccer field and a classroom. The Clubhouse is a place to play pickup soccer, get academic support, socialize with friends, meet with mentors, join game-watch parties, and much more.

Please consider donating $11 today to help support this great organization and the inspirational students who make it possible!

11 student-athletes working together on the soccer field. 11 seats in the classroom. 11 mentors for at-risk youth. A team of youth from more than 11 different nationalities. This is the #POWEROF11.
