This is the #POWEROF11.
Welcome to South Bronx United's #POWEROF11 Campaign, celebrating 10 years! The campaign will run from June 1 through June 11, raising funds to support the organization's academic, athletic, mentoring, leadership development, health and wellness promotion, and immigration legal services for South Bronx youth and families. All proceeds will go directly towards SBU sustaining, strengthening, and expanding youth and community programs in the 2019-2020 year. So far we have raised $40,000 in matching funds, so the first $41,000 in donations will be matched dollar for dollar!
How can you be a part of the #Powerof11?
- Donate to South Bronx United directly or to a Team Captain or Supporters Group.
- Become a Team Captain and commit to getting at least 11 people to donate at least $11 in your name.
- Start a Supporters Group to get your entire company, organization, or club involved.
Where will your fundraising go?
Programs
- Increasing the size of the SBU Academy through a new cohort of 6th graders.
- Strengthening academic programs at middle school and high school through curriculum and tutors.
- Expanding college success supports for SBU Academy alumni to help them earn a degree, through new staff and mentorship
- Expanding Immigration Legal Services and Referrals to all SBU program families and beyond.
- Bringing the SBU Community Schools program (afterschool soccer and health/wellness) to more students and schools.
- Growing the Recreational Soccer Program at the Patterson Houses and through a potential new site.
Resources
- Funding the move into a new office and programming space at Boys Prep Bronx Charter School.
- Investing in our most valuable asset, our staff!
- Bringing in new staff--hopefully SBU alumni--as an Office Coordinator and an Alumni Coordinator.
- Making our ultimate dream of an SBU Youth Center facility a reality.
