New York Khaos is a competitive paintball team founded by Bronx native Oscar Acevedo with a mission that goes beyond the field: making a high-adrenaline, skill-driven sport accessible to Black and Brown youth and adults in New York City and Long Island. Today, NYK is a National Championship team and top-ranked in the world. They proudly represent The Bronx at national and local tournaments.
Why this campaign matters to us: That same spirit-- showing up for your community when systems don't-- is exactly what South Bronx United has been doing since 2009. SBU uses soccer as a vehicle for transformation, serving more than 1,900 young people in the South Bronx with academic enrichment, college prep, mentoring, immigration legal services, workforce development, and more. Their core Academy program boasts a 100% high school graduation rate and a 94% college matriculation rate.
Like NYK, SBU believes that sports are a doorway. It's a way to build belonging, discipline, and possibility for young people. That alignment is why we're proud to serve as Team Captain for the #PowerOf11 Campaign!
The World Cup comes to The Bronx... SBU youth will walk out with national team players at every FIFA World Cup match at MetLife Stadium. A select group of SBU youth leaders will also represent at Festival '26 in Boston, and SBU is hosting the Bronx Block Party World Cup Festival for the USA vs. Australia game on Friday, June 19th.
Anyone who donates at least $100 will receive VIP access to The Bronx Block Party World Cup Festival. Come celebrate with us!
From the paintball field to the soccer pitch, we have the same mission. New York Khaos exists because a kid from The Bronx decided to make a once-inaccessible sport accessible to his peers and community.
Your donation to the #PowerOf11 Campaign directly funds the programs (classrooms, fields, legal services, job training) that equip our youth with the tools to uplift their peers and community. Any amount makes a difference in creating a more equitable sports world.
