Thank you so much for visiting my fundraiser page for the TCS New York City Marathon! It’s truly an honor to be raising money for an organization that supports a diverse community of children and uses soccer as a tool for social change; empowering kids to succeed in high school, college, their careers, and beyond.
As a former preschool teacher and someone who continued working with children throughout college, I deeply believe that giving kids a strong foundation early on is one of the greatest gifts we can offer. It may not always be recognized in the moment, but its impact lasts a lifetime.
Every child deserves someone in their corner beyond their immediate support system. Through this fundraiser, I’m helping ensure these kids have mentorship, opportunity, and a competitive edge to carry with them into the future.
Thank you so much for your support and for considering a donation to such an incredible organization.
Please see below for a message from the organization ____________________________________________________ South Bronx United (SBU) is a nonprofit youth development organization with a mission of using soccer as a tool for social change. More than 1,900 young people, beginning at age four and all the way through college, will have participated in programs this year on the soccer field, in the classroom, and in the community.
Founded in 2009 to address a lack in youth athletic programs in the South Bronx, the organization's programs have grown to combine soccer with academic enrichment, college prep, mentoring, leadership development, health and wellness programs, immigration legal services, and other family and youth supports. The SBU Academy has a 100% high school graduation rate and 97% college matriculation rate. College-readiness rates of graduates are three-times the rate of their peers.
This cause is very dear to me, and I appreciate support in all amounts! Together we can make a difference!
