South Bronx United (SBU) is a nonprofit youth development organization with a mission of using soccer as a tool for social change. More than 1,300 young people, beginning at age four and all the way through college, will have participated in programs this year on the soccer field, in the classroom, and in the community.

Founded in 2009 to address a lack in youth athletic programs in the South Bronx, the organization's programs have grown to combine soccer with academic enrichment, college prep, mentoring, leadership development, health and wellness programs, immigration legal services, and other family and youth supports. The SBU Academy has a 100% high school graduation rate and 94% college matriculation rate. College-readiness rates of graduates are three-times the rate of their peers.  In 2020, SBU faces new challenges but remains steadfast in its mission to provide opportunity and support for its young people. 

FC Give has participated in SBU's Annual Charity Cup in past years, however because this year's cup is cancelled due to Covid-19, we are hoping to send representatives to the Summer FIFA Tournament.

To gain an entry into the tournament, individuals or supporters groups must fundraise at least $121 (11 x $11) for South Bronx United’s #PowerOf11 campaign. All contributions are 100% tax-deductible, according to the rules of Internal Revenue Service Code 501(c)3.

One entry or student-athlete sponsorship for every $121 raised for the #PowerOf11. Members can also set up their own pages to raise funds as part of our group! When you register, you will be prompted to select your game system preference (XBOX or PS4).

All funds raised by FC Give will go directly to support scholarships for 2020 SBU Academy Seniors entering college in the fall. This cause is very dear to us, and we appreciate support in all amounts! Together we can make a difference!
