Thanks for checking out my link! I'm so proud to be a part of South Bronx United and of the dedicated students, volunteers, and staff that I get to work with every day!
The last year at SBU has been an amazing one, despite the challenges our community continues to face. Some highlights for me:
- Last June I travelled to Lyon, France with five stellar young women from SBU for a gender equality festival and the Women's World Cup
- We've hosted two "Football for Equality" events to promote gender equality and get more young girls involved in soccer
- In response to COVID-19, we've created a full virtual program to continue supporting our students and families through weekly individual tutoring, soccer activities, and sharing of essential resources
- In June 2019 we celebrated 100% of our Seniors graduating from high school and we're on track to do this same this year!!

We're so happy to be able to provide this financial assistance to families in this time of need. We have gotten an outpouring of appreciation and gratitude from these families that I'll never forget!
I could not be more proud of the over 70 SBU students and staff who joined "SBU Unfiltered" last week for an open discussion of racial and social justice!

I'm so proud of the work our students and volunteers have been putting into our virtual tutoring, with over 90 individual virtual tutoring sessions happening every week!!
See the amazing work coach-mentor Lia is doing with the Girls U16 team! We do weekly calls to check in on her team to best support each student-athlete!

Our weekly boys and girls discussion groups are one of my favorite activities at SBU! Group aims to be a fun and safe space for students to learn and practice important social & life skills. Check out my colleague Sara’s great work with Girls U14!
