Thank you for coming to my page! As you may already know, Max and I have been affiliated with SBU since 2016 in a few different capacities, as U6 soccer coaches, participants in their annual soccer tournaments (though never winners sadly) and regular captains in the annual fundraising campaigns.

Throughout that time, I've see first hand the amazing impact this organization has on the community and for individual people. South Bronx United (SBU) is a nonprofit youth development organization with a mission of using soccer as a tool for social change. More than 1,400 young people, beginning at age four and all the way through college, will have participated in programs this year on the soccer field, in the classroom, and in the community.

Founded in 2009 to address a lack in youth athletic programs in the South Bronx, the organization's programs have grown to combine soccer with academic enrichment, college prep, mentoring, leadership development, health and wellness programs, immigration legal services, and other family and youth supports. The SBU Academy has a 100% high school graduation rate and 94% college matriculation rate. College-readiness rates of graduates are three-times the rate of their peers.

I'm so proud to be running the marathon with SBU this year. I made it my goal to run the 2025 NYC Marathon in the midst of a particularly tough bout of morning sickness while watching the 2023 NYC Marathon. That target kept me going through all the harder days of pregnancy until Max and I were blessed with Cam in June of 2024.

To complete this marathon in partnership with an organization that I love, particularly one focused on helping lift up children, would just bring this full circle in a really beautiful way.

Thank you so much for donating and supporting me! Together we can make a difference!
